Our Youth

The apprehension and anxieties experienced throughout teenage years, and particular as a student, is very real. As a former high school teacher in the public and private education system, I am very aware of the ability of our youth to appear fine on the surface whilst paddling like a duck under water underneath. They don't like to worry anyone.

Expectations put upon themselves are often not rational and of course sadness and anxieties can evolve from past traumas.

We are in an era of competing pressures. Whether it be the latest music clip with celebrities that they feel they should look like or images that they need to portray to be popular, it is not easy being 14, 15, 16, 17 ..... year old.

It is a positive and beneficial tool to take through life, to learn mindfulness and a sense of oneself. Learning to tap in to your powerful sub-conscious mind in order to bring about a sense of calm, can promote clarity, increased self-esteem and overall perspective and well being. There is nothing hocus pocus about hypnotherapy under the guidance of a qualified practitioner. Sportspeople use it all the time. Due to attachment to my former profession, and watching my own children navigate this period of which I refer, I offer 20% my normal rates between Christmas and return to school each year to any students who can benefit from my services.
