Why Hypnotherapy?

Updated: Oct 10

So you have heard of Hypnotherapy but not quite sure about it. Firstly please know that it has been an effective modality of therapy, world-wide, for a very long time. It cannot be labelled woo woo or hippy or 'not possible for me because I am a sceptic'. It is a highly effective drug free pathway for assistance.. And the big win is that most clients achieve what they set out to, in half the amount of sessions than that of traditional face-face counselling.

Contrary to what some people might think, when under hypnosis you are not unconscious or under complete control of the therapist. You are however, in a state of deep concentration that allows much needed internal focus.

Most of us nowadays live overly busy lives, and it is easy to get distracted by all the ‘noise’. Hypnosis is able to redirect the mind inwardly allowing you to focus fully on yourself and whatever it is that is holding you back from living your best life. With suggestions of a more effective way of operating, you and your therapist work together to address the specific issue you are presenting for.

.

Calming the mind:

Hypnotherapy will help you live in a calmer state. Learning how to create a mental stillness when you need, helps you manage the daily pressures. anxiety, insomnia, lack of motivation, over-eating, excessive alcohol …. all things that you can tackle easier once you can calm your mind and direct the positive thoughts that are needed for change.. It is particularly useful for students facing exams; providing clarity with uncertainty over decisons and establishing a mind-set for achieving your goals.

Breaking habits and patterns:

Hypnotherapy assists with breaking unwanted habits and patterns by addressing the root causes buried in your mind. Various techniques are used that help with promoting healthier lasting changes. A habit or pattern had to be established/created so therefore it can also be undone.

Improving sleep:

Many people silently struggle with sleep disorders and insomnia. Hypnotherapy is a natural and drug-free solution to promote better sleep. By addressing underlying stressors and anxieties through guided relaxation and suggestion, a four session program is available to allow you to finally feel less exhausted. You may find that some very simple lifestyle changes make a huge difference.

Making contact:

An initial complimentary discussion is offered, whereby you are welcome to ask any questions that you need. If you decide to go ahead, an individual program is developed and dates booked in. The beginning of positive change to your life. Please feel free to take a look at other Blog topics for your information.
